I have always been obsessed with neutral tones, which are great investment pieces and just don’t go out of date! Nailing a neutral colour palette is easier than you think, as you can literally mix and match shades of cream, camel, black, brown and beige which all just go together so seamlessly. One of my favourite sites My Theresa, has the most wonderful collection of these timeless neutral pieces this season, and I wanted to share some of my top picks from their fabulous selection.

Trench coats are the perfect combination of practical and stylish – especially when living in London with the unpredictable weather! I love the oversized and loose fit of the Isabel Marant trench coats this season which are a great everyday fashion staple and would look amazing over a pair of jeans and a jumper. Miu Miu has the most stunning classic one with a detachable embroidered lace collar which is super chic and elegant! I’m also loving the versatile cream ones from Frankie Shop as they are beautiful options at a more affordable price point.

I always think it’s important to invest in one or two good quality coats every season since you can wear them year on year – especially the neutral tones! You probably know how much I LOVE my Max Mara Teddy coat – which has definitely been used the most on my daily lockdown walks. It’s light, comfortable and cosy for the winter months and I know I’ll be wearing the cream and camel one that I invested in a while ago for years to come. Loewe has the most gorgeous camel belted wool and cashmere coat with wide sleeves this season which literally transforms an entire outfit and is so stylish. I’m also loving this black blazer from Wardrobe NYC which is so practical and timeless too.

I love a good knit and investing in one is really worthwhile, especially when it’s cashmere. Although it can be hard to find a good quality one, Khaite is definitely my go-to brand for these investments as the quality is always amazing! I absolutely love their fashionable cashmere loungewear this season which is super soft and comfy. The thin straps of the bralette are so elegant and it’s so gorgeous once paired with the matching cashmere cardigan. Another piece of theirs which I have been wearing non-stop and many have asked about is their Maddy knit top which comes in several neutral colours and looks amazing with a pair of jeans! Leggings are a fabulous wardrobe staple and Wardrobe NYC are my ultimate basic leggings because of the fabric and shape.

Everyone needs a great pair of boots during the cold winter months and for me comfort is key, so chunky black boots are a perfect wardrobe staple. My absolute favourite are the black leather Bottega ones which would go perfectly with denim tucked in as well as a midi skirt and coat. My Theresa has such a great range this season such as the Jil Sander and Khaite leather ones which are another favourite of mine. Balenciaga have a grey pair of stylish chucky sneakers which I love for everyday if you’re looking for something more casual and cool.

Neutral bags are a must have in every wardrobe as they always match any outfit and can be styled so easily. Although we are not going ‘out out’, I definitely think it’s worth investing in a bag this winter as a handbag is always necessary when you leave the house! The beige suede Bottega bag was my big investment this season as I just love the texture (and Bambi has enjoyed it too!). Over the years I’ve also been using their clutch bags non-stop which upgrade any look – the gold one goes with everything and is probably one of the best bags I’ve ever bought! I’m also loving all the neutral Loewe bags this winter which are so so elegant and stylish too!

My Theresa has a great collection of some of my favourite ‘go-to’ accessories. I love these gold Bottega earrings which would look stunning styled with any neutral outfit. Black and bold belts are always a winner especially with layering of neutral tones, so I’ve linked some of my favourites from this season.
