Tuscany, Italy: Borgo Pignano

I had the amazing opportunity of working with the gorgeous Borgo Pignano in Tuscany, Italy. I came here for a special girls trip with my wonderful mum and my girls this past August. The property was stunning, the staff couldn’t have been more kind, and the food was beyond delicious. It truly was the most special Tuscan vacation. We already can’t wait to go back!

TRAVEL | As I mentioned we visited the Borgo Pignano in August. It’s only a little over an hour drive from the Florence airport and the hotel will arrange transportation.

PROPERTY | The rooms are absolutely gorgeous. It has more of a villa feel, where each guest has a unique residence. We stayed in a stunning suite that was transformed from an authentic old monk monastery. Very cool, unique experience.

FOOD | I looked forward to my large glass of vino every evening! The food here was really delicious. They have all of your nice Italian favorites, and the dinner restaurant has some of the most stunning views.

RECOMMENDATION | This property is amazing for an escape. Just a quick flight from London and then an easy hour drive. I’d recommend coming for at least two-three nights to get the full experience. It’s set a top the most beautiful hillside landscape. You can totally relax, enjoy the adult or children’s pools. They have an amazing children’s club the the girl’s loved. Usually they want to stay by my side, but it was actually amazing how much they looked forward to their activities (cooking classes, art classes, yoga, horse riding, etc daily.) We even made a few friends that we still keep in touch with via Instagram. We took a day trip to Florence, so you could easily add this on to your Florence itinerary. I think my favorite part was the pool, the evening happy hours watching the girls run on the open lawn, and definitely the private concert held for all of the guests. We’ll definitely be returning and I can’t wait to have Ian with us on our next trip!

MORE ABOUT THE BORGO PIGNANO

More about Florence, Italy …

Whilst visiting Tuscany we took a very easy day trip to Florence. The drive is only about an hour and a half from the Borgo Pigano and the hotel can happily arrange transportation for you at an additional charge.

If you’ve never been to Florence these are some of the places you absolutely must see: The Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, The Boboli Gardens, The Uffizi Museum

As Italy is known for their gelato, I don’t have any specific ice cream shop recommendations. However, we cooled down from a very warm day with a few cones overlooking the gorgeous Florence skyline.
