Christmas jewels with Bucherer Fine Jewellery

Last week on a press trip I was chatting to mega jewellery consultant Beanie Major and we got talking about – guess what – jewellery!

Beanie does a monthly piece for her site called “the jewellery box” where she goes through peoples jewellery boxes and talks about the history of each piece. Not only is this fascinating but it really reminded me of the timelessness and importance of jewellery as something to treasure and enjoy and to hand down to our children. Don’t get me wrong, I do have some incredible and lovely jewellery, but for some reason in the last few years, instead of investing in jewellery pieces I have been focussing on clothing and handbags. Talking to Beanie really made me rethink this, at the end of the day our items of jewellery no matter what cost really are heirloom pieces and things you can pass down to future generations. For example one of my most treasured items of jewellery is a ring my late father bought for my mother and every time I pick it up it conjures emotions that are priceless. Whether it be a gift from your family or even a gift to yourself it really doesn’t matter – each piece will have a story, a meaning, a memory.

This brings me on to Bucherer Fine Jewellery, the Swiss jewellery designer I have been working with for the last few months. Bucherer Fine Jewellery was initially a family business which started 130 years by Carl Freidrich Bucherer, the business grew and grew so he sent one of his sons to study watchmaking and the other to become a jeweller. After  they qualified they joined the family business and they were able to produce their own line of watches named Carl F.Bucherer and in house jewellery brand Bucherer Fine Jewellery. I really love that it was family business with such a rich history as I do consider the heritage of a jeweller before making a purchase. Being Swiss the quality is of course incredible, something that really will last the test of time and something that can be handed down in years to come.

The first collection I would like to talk about is their Peekaboo line which debuted last year. The collection itself is stunning and totally unique, very pretty and romantic using amethyst, morganite, aqua-marine and beryl to create pastel-coloured jewels with diamond accents either set in rose or white gold. The rings are exquisite and come in each of the gold colourways, with the stones in various sizes. I think the price point of the collection is very reasonable with the prices starting at around £1150 for a ring with 1.8.ct amathyst stone, see here or you can keep going up in size to a whopping 12ct morganite stone for around £6800 – see here. I personally love them stacked so you are wearing 2 or 3 of various sizes and colours on one finger which I think gives such a beautiful effect.

The Peekaboo range also has stunning necklaces, I am wearing one of my favourites in the pictures below – you can see that the stones are scattered along the chain, which also comes in rose or white gold with a variety of the stones and lengths – see here. I am also wearing  one of the the peekaboo bracelets which also come in white or rose gold and are a stunning piece – see here for the morganite version

The second line I am wearing is the B Dimension, which is the latest line from Bucherer Fine Jewellery. It is a collection of 26 pieces that are all based on the circular shape – the shape which historically symbolises perfection. This collection comes in white, yellow and rose gold with intricate pave diamonds – although on some pieces there are other hard stones, lapis lazuli, black onyx and carmine carnelian. Each piece is truly exquisite, I am lucky enough to be wearing the pave diamond earrings – and two of the pave diamond rings stacked together…….all I can say is – Dear Father Christmas…..I’ve been a good girl, honest……….!

The final collection that I was lucky enough to shoot is the Pastello Collection I simply love this collection, it is just so truly gorgeous. Again this is a colourful collection using a variety of sapphire stones in varying shades to create the most DIVINE lilac hues, which are so delicate and pretty. I LOVE the earrings that I am wearing see herewhich again for a fine jewellery line are quite a good price point. I am also wearing the most sumptuous ring which is 3 bands of amazingness, and the necklace see here is definitely a WOW piece – simply sensational
