Sardinia

I first went I Sardina in my 20s and fell in love with the blue water and the fabulous beaches, I was staying on a boat so I didn’t see much of the island and always wanted to go back. Roll on to being pregnant with Winter and we somehow ended up back there staying at a friends villa on a last minute holiday, our suitcases got lost and we had no luggage for days but it was still the most magical holiday and I fell in love with Sardinia all over again, and we have been returning every summer since then.

STAY | I absolutely love Sardina but I want to note the hotels as they are very very traditional and not at all modern. I personally love that almost rickety style, but I realise that isn’t for everyone, some people want a power shower and luxe newness. Cala di Volpe is a favourite, it also has a lovely little private beach and a brand new Shiseido spa, Hotel Romazzino is gorgeous and if you want to stay in town then the Cervo hotel is without doubt my favourite. I love to sit outside with one of their world famous Bellinis and watch the world go by and I also love to be in the town and able to walk around with the girls, get ice cream, stroll over to the promenade du port (the new shopping centre) and go and look at the boats.

EAT | Novikov for the most unbelievable Asian. Al Pescatore for the most incredible view and Italian cusine (make sure to book outside and if possible next to the water) Phi beach for the most stunning sunsets ever and you MUST go to Giagoni in San Pantaleo – its a hidden gem but gets extremely booked up by the locals and people in the know so book early and outside.

DO | The beaches are incredible they are world famous and all super stunning, the markets in San Pantelo are well worth a visit, but it is equally lovely just to go in the evening and let the children play in the Piazza with an ice cream. We are very lucky and normally charter a boat for a day or 2 and travel to Madalenna island and to Bonifacia in Corsica, but my all time favourite is Cavallo island and the hilltop restaurant La Ferme.
