I know its only March but I’m already looking forward to vacations and spring holidays… especially sunny climates this time of year. I try to invest in a few key pieces that are timeless, will work on holiday, and also in the city. I’m sharing with you lots of looks from our recent trip to the Maldives, all from MyTheresa.com that I feel are great investment pieces and ones that you’ll wear on repeat all summer and future ones to come. I’ve broken it down into lots of different categories so you can easily browse through my favourite selections. I’ve included lots of colour and strong silhouettes with a lot of statement sleeves, because I feel it’s a trend that’s going to be around for a while. And I’ve also included some beautiful spring pieces from MyTheresa for the girls. xx
DRESSES
Johanna Ortiz and Gül Hürgel are always two of my go-to brands for summer dresses. Many of Johanna Ortiz dresses always have the statement sleeve which I love and the fabrics and cuts are divine. I wore this one in the Maldives. It’s such a beautiful style. Very flattering with the vertical stripes and the back detail is so pretty. For some reason it’s also half the price of their normal dresses which is always a bonus. Gül Hürgel makes the most beautiful resortwear. I have dresses of hers from 5 years ago that I still pull out from my beach holidays — always timeless and this years are no exception. Love this floral print one I wore in the Maldives.
BLOUSES / SHORTS
I do love separates in the summer. I’m not always about the floaty dresses, I think separates are always super amazing and versatile,. The blouses this season from Miu Miu are so cool and I love that you can team them with skirts, shorts jeans, giving lots of flexible options to wear them.
I’m loving the paper bag waste silhouette at the moment. It’s a super flattering shape. The oversized fit is not only super comfortable but super flattering. I feel like they make your legs look elongated. My personal favourites are the denim Isabel Marant and the Miu Miu Khaki, which go with everything.
BAGS
I had a Botega bag last year. They’re a perfect evening bag / summer bag or even small day bag. I have the gold still from last year. One of the best bags I’ve ever bought. I love it, especially the gold goes with everything. The blue is beautiful. It’s slightly less versatile but such a stunning colour. I love this little Miu Miu basket bag. I’ve always wanted a Mark Cross one but not sure I’d spend that much on a wicker bag — this ones half the price and super super cute. I used it all the time in the Maldives.
SHOES
Continuing on last year’s trend, I’m loving a barely there sandal at the moment for summer. Bottega is still very much one of my favourite shoe brands. I had these square toed sandals last year in white and black and found they went with everything. I love the gold because they’re super versatile and the Bottega padded sandals are still super cute in white. My personal favourite this year are the Lido sandals with the huge intrecciato weave.
ACCESSORIES
Below I linked some of my go-to accessories. I love a pearl earring, the Bottega earrings are gorgeous, and my heart sunglasses look lovely on every face shape.
MY THERESA FOR THE GIRLS
My Theresa always has the cutest selection of children’s clothes, stocking my favourite designers from Bonpoint, Tartine Et Chocolat, and Il Gufo. The girls here are wearing the most adorable dresses from Tartine et Chocolat. I love the bohemian vibe of the ruffle sleeves and pink is always gorgeous.
