NET-A-PORTER has always been my go-to site for finding all the latest designer pieces and staples which I have invested in over the years. They always have the greatest and latest timeless pieces from the range of designer brands and it’s super easy to shop on their site. NET-A-PORTER also has the best delivery service and their packaging makes the shopping experience even more pleasurable! I am so excited to write this post to share with you all my top 10 investment pieces this season from boots, coats, tops, jackets, bottoms and knits. All these selected pieces are my top timeless staples that I know will last for years to come.
BOOTS
I’ve always believed in investing in a good quality pair of boots for Autumn/Winter as they can last for years. For me, it’s always been about comfort and I absolutely love the contrast of wearing a chunky pair of boots with leggings and a coat – it’s such an easy outfit to throw on together for everyday. I am still absolutely loving The Row Billie ankle leather boots which literally go with everything. I will also still be wearing my Bottega boots this year which are super comfy because of the thick soles, and they have probably been one of my best investments! The low heel on the Khaite Dallas boots this season are so stylish too – perfect to style with a pair of jeans. If you’re looking for something a little different this year, the Gucci Cam snake-effect leather knee boots are fabulous!
JUMPERS & CARDIGANS
Cosy season is finally coming, which means I can finally start wearing all my favourite knits and cardigans! I absolutely love a good knit and I’ve previously invested in a few good ones which have literally lasted me for over 8 years! My Khaite scarlet cashmere cardigans have probably been my most worn piece…although they are pricey the quality is outstanding and it’s a staple that will last in your wardrobe for ages. They also come in so many lovely colours. Loulou studio has such a great collection right now on NET-A-PORTER. The yellow Secas oversized cable-knit wool and cashmere-blend sweater is gorgeous and I love the Bruzzi oversized cropped wool and cashmere-blend sweater which is such a great price point for the quality. The Loewe embroidered striped mohair-blend sweater is also super cool and a colourful winter standout piece.
TOPS
NET-A-PORTER has such a wonderful selection of tops this season. I am absolutely loving the Loewe embroidered silk shirts which come in 3 lovely colours: white, army green and black. The silk top looks super chic when tucked into a pair of jeans or tailored pants. I have also been wearing my sage green embroidered cotton-jersey t-shirt from Loewe which I got so many questions about on my Instagram. Frankie Shop have a great collection of shirts. The Lui striped poplin shirt in blue is gorgeous and I also love the plain blue colour. My best basic top is definitely the Totême espera ribbed organic cotton-blend jersey tank which is so comfy and amazing quality. I have them in a few colours and they have lasted for years and still fit so well as they are quiet stretchy. The most gorgeous pick has to be the Magda Butrym Cutout embellished stretch-crepe halter-neck bodysuit, which is the perfect evening top. The halter neck and rose make it a total standout and effortless outfit.
BOTTOMS
I wanted to share some of my top selects for leggings and jeans. Agolde has always been one of my favourite brands for denim as I find the fit so flattering. The 90s pinch waist high-rise straight-leg organic jeans are a great pair and you can style them so easily with a tee or jumper. If you prefer a more loose fit, then the high-rise tapered organic jeans are so good too! Totême has such a wonderful collection and their jeans are such a great price point for the quality. I love the black coated high-rise tapered jeans, which almost look like a pair of tailored pants and the sheen design makes them super comfy. Of course I also have to share my favourite pair of their cork stretch-jersey leggings which I literally wear on repeat with a cardigan or knit! The zip detailing is gorgeous and the high-rise fit is so flattering. I also love the Remain Birger Christensen Uran stretch stirrup leggings which are such a perfect versatile pair.
COATS
I am totally obsessed with coats and they are probably my favourite piece to wear during Winter. You all probably know how much I love my Max Mara Teddy coats and how I have been styling them on repeat the last few years. The Teddy Bear Icon camel hair and silk-blend coat has probably been one of my best investments and is still so chic to invest in! They are super soft, cosy and as the label says wearing it “feels like returning home” – which couldn’t be more accurate! I also love my cropped version of the coat which is also effortlessly elegant and I love the leather detailing. Coat wise, my number one pick for Autumn/Winter this year has to be the LouLou Lagam shearling coat which is totally STUNNING and instantly elevates any outfit! The super soft shearling is so warm and is definitely a stand out piece! I also love the Borneo oversized double-breasted wool and cashmere-blend coat from LouLou which is so elegant and really easy to style up.
JACKETS & BLAZERS
There’s nothing more stylish than a gorgeous blazer or jacket during the colder months. The Totème draped fringed wool blend jackets which come in cream and black are so effortless and chic. I love how you can throw the scarf around and how they are so lightweight – it was a total sell out last year! I have the cream one which I can’t wait to wear. I am totally loving the tailoring of the Saint Laurent pieces. Their jackets for me are the best – love the Grain De Poudre wool one this season, a total statement piece! LouLou Studio also has some wonderful jackets on NET-A-PORTER which are a good designer price point. The Harat oversized double-breasted wool-blend blazer is so classic and I love the oversized fit. Another favourite this season is the Malene Birger Rosettan cotton-blend blazer. It’s stunning when styled with all black leggings, bodysuit and knee boots as the cream colour really stands out. I think it’s a great piece to brighten up an all black outfit. I tried this one on in store and the oversized tailored fit is so lovely and comfortable too!
BAGS
Bags have always been my favourite investment piece to style an outfit with. There are so many amazing new-in ones that I wanted to share with you. I got so many questions about my new Saint Laurent Care Tote which I am totally obsessed with. The size is perfect to carry pretty much everything with you – and it’s also such a good travel bag as it’s lightweight. I’m also loving the new colours of the Loewe Flamenco clutches which have just launched on NET-A-PORTER. They make a gorgeous accessory to add a subtle touch of colour to any outfit. I’m also obsessed with the Loewe Luna shoulder bag which is super cute and stylish.
SHOES
I absolutely love Amina Muaddi this season and their collection right now is incredible. I adore the Laura leather mules which would look amazing with a pair of wide leg trousers or a mini skirt. The crystal heel and tan colour is so so chic. I have always loved a classic pump and pointed toe and the Valentino one stud leather pumps are one of my top investment pairs. They are so easy to style and such a classic pair that will last for years to come. If you’re looking to invest in a timeless evening black shoe, I love the Jimmy Choo crystal embellished satin pump which is so elegant and classy for any evening event. The Alexander Wang embellished sandals are also a stunning evening pair if you’re looking for a more neutral timeless pair.
