Getting Dress ready with Selfridges

If there is one thing I really love it’s a dress; from a day dress, a beach dress to an evening dress, its always a failsafe and easy look to perfect , with the right dress, you can’t really go wrong, its effortless and as a Mum who is constantly on the go I find it incredibly efficient to throw on a dress as you can save 10 minutes from finding the right combinations of separates.

Selfridges has always been one of my favourite stores to shop, they have a fabulous selection of brands across the store, combining  established designers such as Valentino and Stella McCartney, emerging brands like Jacquemus, Rixo and Cecilie Bahnsen and high street brands such as Sandro Paris,  Top Shop and Whistles. The stores is very close to me, so I am often in store grabbing my Nespresso pods and flowers but equally I love to shop online as they offer such a super efficient and speedy online store and service.

So its no no suprise I was super excited to shoot a few summer looks with Selfridges and do an edit of my favourite dresses (see the end of the post) For me Selfridges really is a one stop destination for dress shopping, as they really have it all – the most enormous selection.

First off I shot one of my absolute favourites, this Stella McCartney dress, this is definitely more of an evening statement party dress, I am OBSESSED with this dress, I think the colours and the patterned lurex fabric is amazing, it just oozes that 70’s boho vibe that is just so cool and effortless. I am also obsessed with the maxi version which is next on my wish list, I love the purple silver and lilac hues! There is also a long sleeved version of my dress which is perfection, although its a little shorter than mine and being nearly 5ft 10 thats a bit of a problem! I have styled the dress with simple jewellery as I think the dress speaks for itself. I LOVE these Laura Lombardi gold hoops, so pretty and chic. The Valentino bag is one of my go to evening bags for summer, the neutral shade goes with everything and the red lip which I always get so many questions about, is my favourite “Tell Laura” by Charlotte Tilbury. My Manolo shoes are available in store – but you HAVE TO LOOK AT THESE  Manolo Blank Lurum shoes which are available online and are the the new Selfridges only exclusive shoe – WANT!!

I also decided to shoot a couple of dresses from the brand Samsoe & Samsoe which is a brand relatively new to me and one that I think has a great price point also. Firstly I should this yellow gingham dress which is such a pretty and happy dress. I think yellow is such a good colour for most people and I love that you could wear this dress in the day with flats and a basket bag and you could totally dress it up with heels and some statement earrings.

I also fell in love with this cobalt blue dress also from Samsoe & Samsoe, I love a striking colour and this one is such an incredible shade of blue, that is literally just pops – I LOVE IT. I styled it here as I would in the evening with gold heels and statement earrings, but equally I think it would amazing with flats such as these beautiful Metallic Saint Laurent sandals or amazing gold Kurt geiger flats as the colour is statement enough.
