Last week on a press trip I was chatting to mega jewellery consultant Beanie Major and we got talking about – guess what – jewellery!

Beanie does a monthly piece for her site called “the jewellery box” where she goes through peoples jewellery boxes and talks about the history of each piece. Not only is this fascinating but it really reminded me of the timelessness and importance of jewellery as something to treasure and enjoy and to hand down to our children. Don’t get me wrong, I do have some incredible and lovely jewellery, but for some reason in the last few years, instead of investing in jewellery pieces I have been focussing on clothing and handbags. Talking to Beanie really made me rethink this, at the end of the day our items of jewellery no matter what cost really are heirloom pieces and things you can pass down to future generations. For example one of my most treasured items of jewellery is a ring my late father bought for my mother and every time I pick it up it conjures emotions that are priceless. Whether it be a gift from your family or even a gift to yourself it really doesn’t matter – each piece will have a story, a meaning, a memory.

This brings me on to Bucherer Fine Jewellery, the Swiss jewellery designer I have been working with for the last few months. Bucherer Fine Jewellery was initially a family business which started 130 years by Carl Freidrich Bucherer, the business grew and grew so he sent one of his sons to study watchmaking and the other to become a jeweller. After  they qualified they joined the family business and they were able to produce their own line of watches named Carl F.Bucherer and in house jewellery brand Bucherer Fine Jewellery. I really love that it was family business with such a rich history as I do consider the heritage of a jeweller before making a purchase. Being Swiss the quality is of course incredible, something that really will last the test of time and something that can be handed down in years to come.

The first collection I would like to talk about is their Peekaboo line which debuted last year. The collection itself is stunning and totally unique, very pretty and romantic using amethyst, morganite, aqua-marine and beryl to create pastel-coloured jewels with diamond accents either set in rose or white gold. The rings are exquisite and come in each of the gold colourways, with the stones in various sizes. I think the price point of the collection is very reasonable with the prices starting at around £1150 for a ring with 1.8.ct amathyst stone, see here or you can keep going up in size to a whopping 12ct morganite stone for around £6800 – see here. I personally love them stacked so you are wearing 2 or 3 of various sizes and colours on one finger which I think gives such a beautiful effect.

The Peekaboo range also has stunning necklaces, I am wearing one of my favourites in the pictures below – you can see that the stones are scattered along the chain, which also comes in rose or white gold with a variety of the stones and lengths – see here. I am also wearing  one of the the peekaboo bracelets which also come in white or rose gold and are a stunning piece – see here for the morganite version

The second line I am wearing is the B Dimension, which is the latest line from Bucherer Fine Jewellery. It is a collection of 26 pieces that are all based on the circular shape – the shape which historically symbolises perfection. This collection comes in white, yellow and rose gold with intricate pave diamonds – although on some pieces there are other hard stones, lapis lazuli, black onyx and carmine carnelian. Each piece is truly exquisite, I am lucky enough to be wearing the pave diamond earrings – and two of the pave diamond rings stacked together…….all I can say is – Dear Father Christmas…..I’ve been a good girl, honest……….!

The final collection that I was lucky enough to shoot is the Pastello Collection I simply love this collection, it is just so truly gorgeous. Again this is a colourful collection using a variety of sapphire stones in varying shades to create the most DIVINE lilac hues, which are so delicate and pretty. I LOVE the earrings that I am wearing see herewhich again for a fine jewellery line are quite a good price point. I am also wearing the most sumptuous ring which is 3 bands of amazingness, and the necklace see here is definitely a WOW piece – simply sensational

I recently had the opportunity to work with kidswear brand Il Gufo – I love childrenswear, and I just LOVE the history behind the brand. Il Gufo was founded in the 1970s by Mother of 3 Giovanna, who started making clothes for her children. Very soon all the children in the village were wearing her creations and so it began! I just love that the brand was built by a Mother, and despite it being HUGE today, Giovanna still, with her son and daughter, coordinates the work of all the people they have worked with for many years. Another thing that I love is that not only are the clothes designed in Italy, and that fabrics are sourced from companies representing Italian excellence – so you know the quality is second to none. I find that so many childrenswear brands these days compromise on quality, so it is wonderful to find another one that has beautifully made products with a perfect finish.

So where do I start – well Il Gufo have a huge range of products varying from partywear to casual everyday wear to fabulous puffer-coats and outerwear for extreme weather or even freezing London, basically they do it all.

I wanted to select pieces for the girls to shoot that they really loved, so I asked Soleil to help to pick out the pieces that she knew her and Winer would really love. Its no surprise that she totally fell in love with a super-fun and fabulous pink faux-fur coat, its a real statement piece and I thought a great addition to her wardrobe. She also loved the matching grey jersey dress with pink faux-fur pockets, and best of all, it also came in mini-size so Winter could “twin” as she loves to match her big sister. I cannot tell you how excited the girls were when the dresses and coat arrived along with a matching bag all in lovely stylish packaging. The girls wore the outfits the following weekend in Kensington Palace Gardens where we went to play in the Autumn leaves.

Soleil looks super-stylish and super-fun in her choice, the pink coat – see here – and is also wearing some gorgeous pink Il Gufo trainers – see here . Equally, I have to say that Winter looks totally adorable in her mini-me grey sweater dress – see here – and she was more than a little bit obsessed with the fun-faux-fur pockets which she could stuff with leaves.

Next up is my favourite, I absolutely fell in love with these navy-blue coats for the girls – see here. I always adore the girls in navy as I always think it’s such a chic look. I love how  the beautiful ruffle neck-line on the coat and the matching ruffled pockets  make it super unique, it’s the small details like this that make the coat really stand out. The girls wore these coats at the weekend out to lunch and so any people commented on how lovely they looked. The coats are made in wool fleece-style fabric which is so soft and cosy so I know they are going to be a huge favourite with the girls. The coats also come in a stylish grey colour – see here.

The final outfit the girls selected was an occasion-wear party dress – see here with a fabulous net-lined huge poufy princess-like skirt and a black ribbon sash-belt around the waist which ties in a beautiful bow at the back. The girls haven’t had the opportunity to wear these dresses yet but will definitely be wearing them over the Christmas season. Soleil’s dress also has beautifully matching velvet ballet-flat shoes which are just exquisite – see here. I must not forget to mention to the gorgeous matching headbands for both of them to complete the look – see here.

If you asked me which store I go into most, there is not even any competition, it’s Selfridges. It’s basically 10minutes away so I pop in at least 3 times a week, whether it be for my Gluten free bread, some make up or to shop their designer fashion. No surprise here but of course the fashion is my favourite. They have the most phenomenal selection and the “buy” is amazing – so no wonder it’s my number one spot for shopping.

THATS RIGHT! WITH THE DISCOUNT CODE  – SELFCCE  YOU WILL BE ABLE TO SHOP FROM   Wednesday 21st November @ 01:00 GMT – Sunday 25th November 23:59 GMT – the discount will be up to 20% off in store and online when using the PROMOTION CODE –  SELFCCE (exclusions apply) – click here to shop

Selfridges really does have all the best designers in store, so it can be hard to know where to start. for me when I am shopping the Selfridges, or any sale for that matter sale, I generally have the rule that I only buy pieces that I love and would have paid full price for if money is no object. I tend to buy wardrobe staples, the ones you can’t necessarily afford day to day, but you know you will wear and wear again. Sale shopping is all about investing right?

First up I want to talk about Max Mara, which is a brand I always love to invest it;  their coats and knits are my favourites, not only are they timeless so they just last and last,  but they are so beautifully made, making the brand is the ultimate investment.

Here I am wearing the Max Mara camel Teddy, they launched the coat a few years ago, and I finally invested in it early this year after living in a dupe. I honestly haven’t taken it off since the weather got colder not only is it super luxurious and the cut is just phenomenal, but it is SUPER light, it is basically the most comfortable coat I have ever owned. I love it so much that I am seriously considering the pink teddy, I ordered it once and felt so guilty that I returned it, but I think with the 20% I will invest! the Leopard teddy is also DIVINE, and it comes in black too, which would be super.

But its not just the teddy I love –  I am a huge fan of the Manuela Coat, which is one from their archive that they do every year, it comes on Black, Navy, Camel and Tobacco and I am struggling to decide which is my favourite, I LOVE a camel coat, and camel is synonymous with the brand, but I also love the navy and black. My next favourite is the Guelfo alpaca blend coatI love the shape and the colour and shape – a triple winner! It is still expensive but for a MaxMara coat it is one of the cheaper ones at £1130 with 20% off this. Lastly I LOVE the Lilla Cashmere wrap coat and the Legume Shearling both a major investment but just DIVINE….and OHHH and how could I forget the iconic Madam double breasted wrap coat, again an archive piece that is SO French in style and SO chic that the re released last year.

Christmas is the season for party dressing, whether it be a work do, NYE or Christmas Day its such fun to dress up. If I am buying a festive dress, I make sure it is one that I can wear over, again one that won’t date really quickly. I think Self Portrait make the most wonderful dresses, again they are super stylish and they are very well made and fit really well so its one of my go to brands for a party dress.

Its no secret I love pink and I am obsessed with this pink ruffle shouldered midi dress, its SO SO pretty, will totally stand out and will be the perfect holiday / summer dress too. The other pink one I LOVE is the frilled sleeve crepe maxi dress, its in one of my favourite colour combinations of pink and navy and again will work throughout the year. The navy star print midi dress is super chic, and such a fabulous dress, as is the sequin Azalea and there red and white maxi.

Shoes are another item that I tend to pick up in the sale, my Balenciaga pink knife mules are included in the 20%…which is pretty amazing as they never go on sale, also amazingly my velvet knife boots are included and the velvet BB pump. Also included are the Alaia bombe shoes, the ones you see me wear and wear on holiday, in fact I am very tempted to go for the Burgundy velvet pair. My Alberta Feretti  Mia velvet mules in the exact same colour way are included, which are a fabulous wardrobe staple and dress up any outfit when you don’t want to wear heels – also I think a little more wearable that the embellished ones ( I always knock pearls off shoes!). But number 1 on my list are the  Givenchy biker boot, and if you don’t have them the Stuart Weitzman Highland over the knee boots are an amazing staple.

Hope you have enjoyed my edit  for the Selfridges comes early sale – remember code SELFCCE

Here are a few pictures of the pieces I own that are included in the 20%
