I have to say, as much as I’m going to miss turquoise waters, long summer days, and white sandy beaches I’m starting to look forward to Autumn in London. Now that we’re back from holiday I’ve been receiving loads of requests asking what wear for fall so am sharing all of my fall favourites and a few keys pieces with one of my favourite sites – My Theresa.

SKINNY NECKLINES AND FABULOUS SKIRTS

Firstly, I am loving skinny simple necklines. Turtlenecks are always beautiful, even simple round neck jumpers. They look really really lovely with a statement skirt and seem to always be a classic piece, especially during these transitional months.

Lately I’ve been wearing mine with this amazing MSGM snake print skirt from My Theresa. It has been my absolute go-to both last winter and also this summer. They have done it again in an amazing version that I’ve linked here from My Theresa. You’ll see another favorite below, but I am LOVING Snakeprint right now…

Another piece I’m loving with a simple skinny turtleneck is this gorgeous sequin skirt from My Theresa. Last year I bought the silver one and wore it so much. The red colour is beautiful contrasted against the dark hues of fall and is super super comfortable — Great autumn addition.

Leather skirts are another fall staple I just love and wear loads this time of year. Mine is from last year but I’ve linked a Red Valentino from My Theresa which is almost similar and has a beautiful scalloped bottom, and it is super buttery and soft. This Joseph leather midi is another one similar to mine that is quite nice.

CHUNKY NEUTRAL KNITS

Come Autumn, I always find it really useful to have a chunky neutral knit that goes with everything. One you can wear with a great pair of denim and boots or wear over a silky slip dress and booties as more of a transitional layered look. This Acne knit that I’m wearing with my favourite fall boots is so so comfortable and I love that the neckline can be worn with great statement jewellery. I’m also loving this wool cream knit by Joseph. It’s completely changes the look of this silk satin slip dress – amazing both with and without a chunky neutral knit.

A GREAT PAIR OF BOOTS

Everyone needs a great pair or two of boots for fall. As I mentioned, I am loving Snake print right now and these Paris Texas Boots are the most phenomenal pair of boots, plus they’re quite reasonably priced for how nice they are. I love the tall over the knee length. They’re great with jeans or great with a cosy knitted mini dress. They also come in almost identical ankle version and a few other colours and textures that I’ve all linked below. Jimmy Choo have also made some amazing boots which are actually very similar in style to Paris Texas and DIVINE, but they are double and more the cost, but included them below.

For an ankle boot, these Gianvioto Rossi heels are perfect. They look amazing with a midi skirt and the polka dot lace is just divine.

A KEY STATEMENT NECKLACE

My favourite accessory this season is a statement necklace, especially paired with the skinny neckline or chunky knit . Unfortunately my exact necklace is no longer available but I’ve found one that is quite similar by Oscar De La Renta and a few other styles that I love.

A STANDOUT STATMENT KNIT / CARDIGAN

On the statement note, in additional to having a versatile neutral knit, I also love to have a statement knit or cardigan to add to my wardrobe. Last year and the year before I invested in a few knits with a statement sleeve, which I will be wearing again this year. If you’ve seen my stories or follow me on the LiketoKnow. It App you may have already seen a glimpse of my favourite pink Miu Miu mohair cardigan. It’s perfect for layering and just so comfortable. It also comes in other colours if pink isn’t your thing. They also do a really leopard blend in brown tones and blush tones and a lovely red colour that I’ve also linked. I also really really love the statement detailing of the neckline on this Miu Miu cardigan. Similarly, I’ve worn it with a leather skirt and a mini. Another all around great investment buy.

BOLD BELTS

This season, belts are really in, especially with a nice midi skirt to accentuate the waistline with all of the autumnal layering. I’ve linked several of my favorites from My Theresa — black and bold is always a winner or again zebra print, a big reoccurrence this fall.

DRESSES, DRESSES, DRESSES

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I just love dresses. They’re always perfect for transitioning from summer into autumn and one can never have enough! Wear alone in the evening or a warmish day, throw over a chunky knit, layer with a sweater, or add boots, dresses really are super adaptable. My Theresa has an amazing selection for Fall.  This Magda Butrym that I wore in Paris is the PERFECT party dress. The colour just pops, the velvet is stunning, plus it looks fab with black tights in the winter. I am also obsessed with this Alessandra Rich cafe coloured silk midi —( I will post it soon)  another one that is even more stunning on.

THE MAX MARA TEDDY COAT

ThisMax Mara teddy coat is one of those pieces that I lived in last fall/winter and am really pleased I invested in. It’s so light to wear, super comfortable, and just looks amazing. Two years ago I purchased a high street version which I loved and wore so much that I thought I would invest in the original teddy, and I AM SO GLAD I did. It really does look so beautiful in real life.. I love it so much I got the black also last year. It always sells out but keeps coming back every year.

LOEWE CAMEL COAT

This belted Loewe coat sells out every year so I had to included it once I saw it was back at My Theresa. I love this one so much. It’s a classic and another key piece thats truly worth the investment.

If there is one thing I really love it’s a dress; from a day dress, a beach dress to an evening dress, its always a failsafe and easy look to perfect , with the right dress, you can’t really go wrong, its effortless and as a Mum who is constantly on the go I find it incredibly efficient to throw on a dress as you can save 10 minutes from finding the right combinations of separates.

Selfridges has always been one of my favourite stores to shop, they have a fabulous selection of brands across the store, combining  established designers such as Valentino and Stella McCartney, emerging brands like Jacquemus, Rixo and Cecilie Bahnsen and high street brands such as Sandro Paris,  Top Shop and Whistles. The stores is very close to me, so I am often in store grabbing my Nespresso pods and flowers but equally I love to shop online as they offer such a super efficient and speedy online store and service.

So its no no suprise I was super excited to shoot a few summer looks with Selfridges and do an edit of my favourite dresses (see the end of the post) For me Selfridges really is a one stop destination for dress shopping, as they really have it all – the most enormous selection.

First off I shot one of my absolute favourites, this Stella McCartney dress, this is definitely more of an evening statement party dress, I am OBSESSED with this dress, I think the colours and the patterned lurex fabric is amazing, it just oozes that 70’s boho vibe that is just so cool and effortless. I am also obsessed with the maxi version which is next on my wish list, I love the purple silver and lilac hues! There is also a long sleeved version of my dress which is perfection, although its a little shorter than mine and being nearly 5ft 10 thats a bit of a problem! I have styled the dress with simple jewellery as I think the dress speaks for itself. I LOVE these Laura Lombardi gold hoops, so pretty and chic. The Valentino bag is one of my go to evening bags for summer, the neutral shade goes with everything and the red lip which I always get so many questions about, is my favourite “Tell Laura” by Charlotte Tilbury. My Manolo shoes are available in store – but you HAVE TO LOOK AT THESE  Manolo Blank Lurum shoes which are available online and are the the new Selfridges only exclusive shoe – WANT!!

I also decided to shoot a couple of dresses from the brand Samsoe & Samsoe which is a brand relatively new to me and one that I think has a great price point also. Firstly I should this yellow gingham dress which is such a pretty and happy dress. I think yellow is such a good colour for most people and I love that you could wear this dress in the day with flats and a basket bag and you could totally dress it up with heels and some statement earrings.

I also fell in love with this cobalt blue dress also from Samsoe & Samsoe, I love a striking colour and this one is such an incredible shade of blue, that is literally just pops – I LOVE IT. I styled it here as I would in the evening with gold heels and statement earrings, but equally I think it would amazing with flats such as these beautiful Metallic Saint Laurent sandals or amazing gold Kurt geiger flats as the colour is statement enough.

It’s no secret that I love great skincare and for me this means a brand that is all about the skin, a brand that is pioneering, does their research and is clinically proven to work. So its no big suprise that I have been a long term lover of Elemis due to its innovative products and transformative results.

So of course I was excited to team up with Elemis to try their new Ultra Smart Pro Collagen” line and offer my readers something amazing (more on that later).

As you know I will only promote products that I genuinely love so I have been using these products religiously for 4 weeks and here is what I found.

So the new Ultra Smart Pro Collagen line is the next generation in skin care. I will start with the Ultra Smart Pro-collagen Complex 12 Serum for the face. As you know I am in my late thirties and the lines are definitely beginning to show, especially on my forehead, and my skin often feels dry, especially in this weather. I do always admit to having botox in my forehead once or twice a year but I haven’t been for a good 8 months so my lines were at their worst when I started. The Ultra Smart Pro-collagen Complex  contains a potent blend of 12 algae which helps the skin feel hydrated, firmer and targets deep-set lines and wrinkles, and drone technology delivers an intense boost hyaluronic acid.

I found the product itself glides on smoothly with no sticky residue (which I have found with some serums) I used one to two pumps before my moisturiser in the morning and evening. The Ultra Smart Pro-collagen Complex clearly delivers, as the name suggests I felt the collagen in my face improved with it feeling more plump and hydrated and I found it definitely visibly reduced the lines on my forehead within the first 2 weeks and continued to do so.

The other product I used in conjunction with the face serum was the Ultra Smart Pro-collagen Eye Treatment Duo. These are 2 eye creams designed to be used specifically in the morning and evening. This is the first time I have used an eye cream that is a duo and it made total sense to me as your needs do differ from morning to night. The morning eye balm specifically targets dark circles and puffiness creating a tighter more lifted look. I found it to be a light textured eye balm that glided on and created a wonderful seal leaving my eye area perfect for make-up application. The evening eye cream, in contrast, was much thicker and richer. it kind of melted into my skin and overnight improved hydration and plumpness and following weeks I noticed definite improvement of my fine lines and wrinkles. Personally, I found both the products in the Ultra Smart Pro-collagen Eye Treatment Duom worked perfectly together. Both are applied with the eye tool provided which greatly aided application and I will continue using them as I am also feeling the whole area feeling more plump.

NOW FOR THE EVEN BETTER BIT
